Chip 300 500 650 1000
Clay N n/a N 10.5 Y Y 1 .93

Poker chip These T.R. King chips have a nice sturdy feel and look to them. They are a bit shiny when new but seem to quickly lose that characteristic. They stack and stick very well and they sound perfect.

I could not peel the label off this chip, even with a knife. Stabbing and slicing the label with a knife left surprisingly little damage, even less than the James Bond chips. Scratching the clay left a slight mark that would blend in over time. Very high marks here! Unfortunately, the graphics on some of the labels was a bit off-center.

These chips had some of the sharpest edges of all the chips I received. This is an indication of the high quality of the construction rather than a problem. These chips are somewhat shiny and chiseled when new but will soften up over time, they will take some breaking-in but they will last a couple of lifetimes. They stack very well and don't easily slide.

These are very high quality chips with indestructible labels, but no edge spots. The lack of edge spots is a major omission. There are very slight ridges on the edge. This chip was 38.53mm in diameter and weighed 10.67 grams.

Chip 300 500 650 1000
Clay N n/a N 8.5 F Y 1 .83 216 350 515 699

Poker chip These are Blue Chip Company chips that have the usual barely disguisable clamshells around the outer border of the chip. A nice chip with a full color inlay with denominations but no edge spots.

There is no chance of the labels peeling off these chips. The labels are very hard to scratch or mar and the color seems to be fairly deep. I had to dig about 1mm into the label before I could see the chip color underneath. These labels are more durable than they look. They kinda look like an edge-to-edge paper label but once you start digging into it, you realize how tough it really is.

The lack of edge spots mars an otherwise good chip. There are very noticeable edge ridges on this chip and the Fan of Cards, the most noticeable of all the chips that I received. The weight and sound of this mold is fairly light. There is a hollowness to this chip that I notice but is not too bad.

This chip was 39.20mm in diameter and weighed 8.41 grams.

Chip 300 500 650 1000
Comp 12S N D 9.25 Y Y 1 .93

Poker chip This is an R.T. Plastics chip. The full inlay has a multi-colored holographic inlay that is quite unique and flashy. It looks great under the lights.

I could easily peel the label off this chip on the first try. I could then stick the same label back on the chip without any noticeable change. The labels are very high quality and are difficult to pierce or tear. Once you take the label off, there are slightly visible, but untellable, injection mold marks under the sticker. There are no edge ridges on this chip.

These chips have a good sound and feel and balance. They stack well but are a bit slippery. This chip was 39.40mm in diameter and weighed 9.26 grams.

Chip 300 500 650 1000
Clay N n/a N 9 H Y 1 .69 199 322 409 590

Poker chip These are Blue Chip Company chips that have the usual barely disguisable clamshells around the outer border of the chip. They are very similar in style and feel to the Casbah Club chips, even though made by a different manufacturer. Like the Casbah Club, these are nice chips with one drawback, the lack of edge spots.

These chips have gold foil stamping with denominations. The quality of the foil stamping is not quite as good as the Casbah Club chips, the lettering was a little rougher and less refined. I could not scratch the gold foil using my fingernail, even in some of the narrower spots. I could scratch the foil with a knife but it took some gouging. Scratches on the clay were hardly noticeable.

This chip was 39.19mm in diameter and weighed 8.61 grams.

Poker chip These T.R. King chips are similar to the King's Crown but without the inlay. They have the same series of crowns running around the rim but have a gold foil stamp with denominations. The quality of the foil was very good, even in the thinnest areas. The quality of the image to the left is very poor, the gold foil looks much better than that.

I could not scratch the gold foil using my fingernail, even in some of the narrower spots. I could scratch the foil with a knife but it took some gouging. Scratches on the clay were hardly noticeable.

Overall, these are nice, decent quality chips for the price. Like all T.R. King chips they have a nice sound, feel, and weight. They stack very well and don't easily slide. Overall, a good chip with one drawback, the lack of edge spots.

This chip was 38.47mm in diameter and weighed 10.66 grams.

Chip 300 500 650 1000
Comp 3 N N 8   N 1 .59

Poker chip This is an 8 gram ABS composite chip with 3 edge spots. The chip has somewhat of a light and hollow sound to it but not as bad as you would think, it almost has a thud. The feel is pretty good too, maybe even just slightly better than your typical abs composite chip. The edges are pre-rounded and the edge spots are nice and traditional. The edge spots are full inserts and are not simply painted on.

There is gold foil stamping with no denominations on the chip. The foil could not be removed with a fingernail but was easily removed with the knife.

This chip was 39.36mm in diameter and weighed 7.88 grams.

Basically, these are ABS composite chips without the metal insert and slipperiness of a typical 11.5 gram composite. They have a more traditional weight and edge spots. Not a bad chip. I much prefer them to a typical composite.
